Dear Mr. Middledorf:

	This letter covers the detailed specifications of our revised
quotation on Solicitation No. XXXXXX.  

	We propose to deliver to the National Bureau of Standards, one of
our standard model "Stanford" manipulators with potentiometer feedback on
all joints.  This model will has an accuracy and resolution sufficient to 
meet the specification mentioned in the RFQ with the execption ofsome regions
where joints other than joint #1 are not preloaded by gravity.  In addition,
the arm will be capable of meeting the velocity specification mentioned in the
RFQ only when unloaded.  Loading will cause a degradation in performance.  

	No forced ari cooling will be supplied.  This will limit the duty cycle
